Site Investigation and Corrective Action Implementation Tyndall AFB and MacDIll AFB, Florida

This contract is comprised of work being completed at Tyndall AFB, Florida and MacDill AFB, Florida following RCRA and TSCA guidance and petroleum regulations (62-770 F.A.C.) under the FDEP.

Investigation, Remediation, Monitoring, and Facility 239 CMI, Tyndall AFB, Florida

- This project consists of preparation of Scoping Documents (Work Plans, HASPs), field investigations using OVA soil borings, soil sampling, direct push technology (DPT), groundwater sampling, and monitoring well installations/sampling. Petroleum sites were assessed and completed following 62-770 F.A.C. and included Site Assessment Reports (SARs) and Remedial Action Plans (RAPs). Work at the Facility 239 included the preparation of a Corrective Measure Design (CMD) and a Corrective Measures Implementation (CMI) Work Plan. The design and implementation of an emulsified vegetable oil (VO)/ potassium lactate injection within a source area, and included installation of 39 injection wells, multi-chamber well and performance monitoring well installation and sampling, injection of VO using a portable injection trailer with a 50-HP shear pump and mixing hoses and pressure/flow gauges; O&M; remedial process optimization (RPO); data interpretation, ERPIMS/GIS data electronic formatting, public RAB presentations, and a CMI Report.

RCRA Facility Investigation (RFI) at two former Wastewater Treatment Plants, MacDill AFB, Florida

- This project consists of preparation of Scoping Documents (Work Plans, Health & Safety Plans, Sampling & Analysis Plans), field investigations using OVA soil borings, soil sampling, direct push technology (DPT), groundwater sampling, and monitoring well installations/sampling, data interpretation, ERPIMS/GIS data electronic formatting, public RAB presentations, and RFI Reports.

RAP Development and Implementation, Facility 182, Tyndall AFB, Florida

- This project consisted of field investigations (OVA soil borings, DPT), soil and groundwater sampling following 62-770 F.A.C.), preparation and implementation of a RAP consisting of excavation, manifesting, and off-site disposal of petroleum contaminated soil. Prior to back filling, oxygen releasing compound (ORC) was emplaced to enhance the breakdown of the residual petroleum constituents. The work included data interpretation, ERPIMS/GIS data electronic formatting, and a Site Closure Report.RAP Development and Implementation, Facility 1274, Tyndall AFB, Florida

- This project consisted of field investigations (OVA soil borings, DPT, groundwater sampling, soil and groundwater sampling following 62-770 F.A.C.), preparation and implementation of a RAP consisting of O&M/monitoring of a Phoster nutrient injection system. The work included data interpretation, ERPIMS/GIS data electronic formatting, O&M Reports and a Site Closure Report.
